Our major outreach activity is the World AIDS Day (WAD) Mass and Forum. Joining forces with organisations worldwide we invite PLWHAs who are lost or friendless to come to us for support. At the same time, we seek to open the minds of the community to the plight of PLWHAs and rally their help and compassion.

Previously this event was held at the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd in the city centre for convenience. However, we now hold it in different parishes in order to widen our reach. Over the years, we have held the event at the Church of St Mary of the Angels (Bukit Batok), Church of the Holy Cross (Clementi), Blessed Sacrament Church (Queenstown) and Church of Sts Peter and Paul (City).

We launched our school outreach programme in 2008 with a presentation to 500 pupils and 12 teachers of SJI. Subsequently, the students and teachers came to CARE to get to know and work with our residents on programmed attachments. The outreach programme has since been extended to students in other Catholic schools including Catholic Junior College and confirmands going through the Agape Experience organised by Caritas Singapore.
